Help Available

Published: 26 March 2020

A help-line has been set up for the 1.5 million people identified by the Government as being at a particularly high risk due to serious health conditions. The help-line number is 0800 0288327 or visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable

A wider group of people who are self-isolating include the over 70's, anyone instructed to get a flu jab as an adult each year on medical grounds & pregnant women. There are also other groups who are vulnerable & may need additional support due to self-isolating. These groups should use the local support services:

Hampshire County Council hotline: 0333 3704000 (available 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm).

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council: 01256 844844 or communityhub@basingstoke.gov.uk

Hampshire County Council will be dealing with complex requests & other requests will be sent to local hubs. Requests can include welfare checks, support with access to basic supplies & advice/signposting.
