Chineham Parish Council is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our monarch, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen demonstrated extraordinary dedication and commitment to duty throughout her Reign and did so with a graceful strength and admirable determination. She ruled throughout decades of change, from the dark post war years through to the new horizons of the 21st century, providing essential continuity for the nation.

People wishing to leave floral tributes locally can lay these in a marked area at the edge of the War Memorial Park in Basingstoke near to the Civic Offices. For those who wish to leave a message within a book of condolence can do so via the official book of condolence set by the Royal Family or the nearest physical condolence book can be found at St. Leonards Church, Sherfield-on-Loddon on Wednesday to Friday, between the hours of noon and 2pm.

The Parish Council meeting scheduled for 12th September 2022 has been cancelled during this period of mourning.
