The 101 service is for reporting:

  • Vandalism and graffiti
  • Noise nuisance
  • Threatening and abusive behaviour
  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Dumping and fly-tipping
  • Drunk and rowdy groups
  • Drug related anti-social behaviour
  • Broken street lighting

What is 101 not for?

101 is not for reporting emergency issues or general enquiries.
In an emergency you should always call 999.
For general enquiries regarding police matters call 0845 0454545.

BDBC Community Safety Team

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Community Safety Patrol Team

Community Safety Patrol OfficerAlison Afzal works as part of the Community Safety Patrol Team. Her main duties include working closely with the community to identify and tackle local issues, reducing crime, deterring anti-social behaviour.  Working closely with the police, CSPOs have enforcement powers to tackle offences such as graffiti, littering or dog fouling or confiscate alcohol from underage drinkers.

Her duties also include dealing with environmental crimes such as littering, flytipping and abandoned vehicles, to make residents feel safer and happier about their neighbourhood.

 If you would like to discuss any issues/concerns with me, she is based at the civic offices at Basingstoke and Deane and you can reach her there on 01256 845700 or email her on alison.afzal@basingstoke.gov.uk due to the nature of the job she mainly work evenings and weekends.
