3. | MINUTES OF PREVIOUS PLANNING MEETING |
| The Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 14 September 2009 were signed as a correct record of the meeting. |
4. | NEW APPLICATIONS |
4.1. | BDB/71263 Lloyds Pharmacy, 34 Guinea Court, RG24 8XJ Display of 1 no. internally illuminated fascia sign and 2 no. window graphics Chineham Parish Council has no objection to this application; however, in view of the size of the window graphics, the Parish Council can see no reason for the fascia sign to be illuminated. |
4.2. | BDB/71303 Land rear of 69 Saffron Close, RG24 8XQ T1 and T2 Oak Trees – Shorten lowest limb on each by 50% Two members of the public were present for this agenda item. The section of Cufaude Lane to the rear of the property has retained the integrity of the original country lane with diverse hedgerows and fine mature trees on both sides of the lane. To allow this application would set a precedent with potential to destroy this important landscape asset. Chineham Parish Council is opposed to this application as shading of the property is not considered a valid reason for reducing trees that pre-date the house. The Parish Council has no objection to the removal of dead wood. The Parish Council will contact the Borough regarding the accepted form of this application as Cufaude Lane is misnamed “Old Reading Road” and the drawings do not include a north arrow to show orientation. |
4.3. | BDB/71319 9 Four Lanes Close, RG24 8RN Erection of a single storey side and rear extension and rear conservatory Councillor Miller left the meeting for this agenda item. The Parish Council discussed the plans and also noted that the requirement for display of the Planning Notice was not met as the Notice was displayed on the front of the property, not on the property boundary. The Parish Council also noted that the new conservatory will be located close to the ancient hedge which forms the Cufaude Lane boundary and will request that steps be taken to avoid any damage to the hedge during construction. Also no builder’s access through this hedge / fence be made during the construction process. Taking the above into account, Chineham Parish Council has no objection to this application. |
