|
1. | APOLOGIES |
| Apologies were received from Cllr. Thornton. |
2. | DECLARATION OF INTERESTS |
| Cllr. Miller declared an interest in item 4.1. |
3. | MINUTES OF PREVIOUS PLANNING MEETING |
| The Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 10 August 2009 were signed as a correct record of the meeting. |
4. | NEW APPLICATIONS |
4.1. | BDB/71109 9 Four Lanes Close, RG24 8RN Erection of a single storey side and rear extension and rear conservatory Cllr. Miller left the room and Cllr. Tomblin took the chair for this item. The Parish Council discussed the plans and also noted that the requirement for display of the Planning Notice was not met as the Notice was displayed on the front of the property, not on the property boundary. The Parish Council also noted that the new conservatory will be located close to the ancient hedge which forms the Cufaude Lane boundary and will request that steps be taken to avoid any damage to the hedge during construction. Also no builder’s access through this hedge / fence be made during the construction process. Taking the above into account, Chineham Parish Council has no objection to this application. |
4.2. | BDB/71129 40 Reading Road, RG24 8LT Erection of conservatory to replace existing Chineham Parish Council has no objection to this application. However, it was felt that the location and site plans are of a poor standard and bring little to the clarification of the location of the conservatory in relation to the house and adjacent properties. |
4.3. | HCC/2009/0231 Veolia Energy Recovery Facility, Whitmarsh Lane, RG24 8LL Proposed variation of condition 23 of Planning Permission BDB/44300 to extend the range of waste to include other municipal or commercial waste in addition to waste collected by or on behalf of waste collection authorities in Hampshire Chineham Parish Council discussed the documents and note that the wording on the covering letter is different to the wording in Section 6 of the application; however, the Parish Council interpret this rewording of Condition 23 as being purely a means of better using the existing resources and will not lead to an expansion of the existing facility. It is the Parish Council’s understanding that the new Condition will not bring about vehicle movements in excess of those granted at the time of the original consent. |
4.4. | BDB/70871 18 Wood End, RG24 8TG Erection of a single storey rear extension and part conversion of existing garage to living accommodation – amended description of proposal to include part conversion of existing garage to living accommodation It is noted that this is purely an amendment to the wording and therefore Chineham Parish Council has no objection. |
4.5. | BDB/71133 15 Greenwood Drive, RG24 8SY Oak tree T2 – fell to ground level and treat stump A member of the public was present for this Agenda item. The trees are a valuable asset to the history of Chineham and form part of the attractive wooded landscape. Chineham Parish Council feels that preservation of the trees is paramount given that there are engineering solutions available to this problem to safeguard the houses. If it is deemed that there is no other alternative to felling the trees, Chineham Parish Council strongly recommend that replacements should be planted to maintain the character, as mentioned above. |
4.6. | BDB/71134 15 Greenwood Drive, RG24 8SY Oak tree T1 – fell to ground level and treat stump Comments as in item 4.5. above. |
