June At last work on the Allotments has commenced, work is expected to take between 6-8 weeks. As you are no doubt aware, there will be a special meeting on Wednesday 16 June 2010 for the allocation of the allotments. Invitations to attend this meeting have been sent to the 37 people at the top of the list and allotments will be allocated on a strictly “first come, first served” basis. The allotment waiting list is heavily over-subscribed and it is recognised that many people on the list will unfortunately be disappointed. However, please be assured that should an allotment become available in the future, then the next person on the list will be contacted. If you wish to apply for an allotment in another part of the Borough, please call the Contact Centre at the Borough Council on 01256 844844. The Annual Statutory Meeting of the Chineham Parish Council took place Monday 10th May at the Village Hall. It was here that the sub- committees were decided and Cllr. Chris Tomblin continues as Chairman and David Thornton continues as Vice Chairman of the full Council.
