Cllrs Paul Miller and Chris Tomblin attended the Chineham Allotment Team 1st year celebration barbeque on Sunday 4 September 2011.

It is hard to imagine that just over a year ago the site was just bare soil, such has been the splendid efforts of all plot holders.

After a very wet start and some good food and drink (!) the sun came out and Paul and Chris could judge the Biggest Vegetable Competition, which was split into 4 classes.

Earlier the attendees had all voted for the Best Kept Allotment, and after the votes were counted Cllr Chris Tomblin presented Mr and Mrs Eames (plot 17) with the Parish Council Cup.CAT BBQ

A great time was had by all and we look forward to next years competition.
